Services, Pricing & Add-ons
Your service menu defines what you offer, how it is priced, and how it is delivered (mobile or drop-off). This guide covers services, bundles, vehicle-size pricing and add-ons.
Services
Services (in the sidebar) lists everything you offer. Create a service with:
- A name and description.
- Pricing per vehicle size.
- Delivery type: whether the service is available mobile, drop-off, or both.
- What the service includes (interior/exterior details shown to customers).
Vehicle sizes
DetailByte starts you off with four standard vehicle sizes; rename, reorder or add your own (estate, van, motorhome) from Settings, they aren't a fixed set:
| Size | Typical examples |
|---|---|
| Small | Superminis, small hatchbacks |
| Medium | Family hatchbacks and saloons |
| SUV | SUVs and crossovers |
| XL | Large SUVs, vans, 7-seaters |
When a customer books, the price is chosen automatically from the vehicle's size.
Bundles
A bundle combines a base service with an extra (for example, an interior deep clean plus exterior protection). Bundles are priced per vehicle size just like services, and can carry their own description of what is included.
DetailByte ships with a set of example "Signature" bundles you can edit or remove.
Add-ons
Add-ons (in the sidebar) are optional extras a customer can add to a booking, for example:
- Pet hair removal
- Seat shampoo
- Engine bay refresh
- Odour treatment
Each add-on has a name, description and a single price. Add-ons chosen at booking are added to the booking total.
How a booking price is built
A booking's total is calculated from:
- The base service price for the vehicle's size.
- Any add-ons selected.
- A travel fee, if the booking is mobile and falls into a travel-fee tier (see Mobile & Travel).
- Any coupon discount or loyalty reward applied (see Loyalty, VIP & Coupons).
You can also apply a manual price override on an individual booking when you need to quote something bespoke.
Estimated duration
DetailByte learns how long your jobs actually take. As you complete jobs, it records their duration and uses the history to estimate how long future bookings of the same service and vehicle size will take, which also feeds the "job running over time" alert.
