We run the server
DetailByte lives on our infrastructure. No hosting plan to buy, no PHP version to keep current, no cron job to configure.
Priced on the size of the business, not on how many people you employ, growing a team never costs you more per head. Unlimited bookings and customer records on every plan.
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial: no card required.
£29 / month
One person, one van. Takes bookings, sends text reminders, gets you paid.

£59 / month start here

£99 / month
Multi-van or multi-site. No limits worth counting.
£990 a year (two months free)
No setup fee. No contract. Your data is yours and exportable at any time. Move up or down a plan whenever you like: nothing is ever deleted if you move down.
Shine, Finish and Concours all run the same admin panel. Reporting, the live Job Tracker and Payroll (last two screens) are Concours-only. Everything else here is on every plan.
Any of these can be added to any plan. They are the things not every business wants, so nobody pays for them by default.
Texts sent through our account rather than one you open and top up. Billed for what you actually send, not a fixed monthly bundle; ask us for the current rate when you start your trial. Not counted in the total below: usage varies too much to estimate.
The monthly fee isn't just a licence to use the software. It covers running it, which is the part that would otherwise land on you.
DetailByte lives on our infrastructure. No hosting plan to buy, no PHP version to keep current, no cron job to configure.
New features and fixes are rolled out for you. You never sit on an old version because upgrading looked risky.
Your customers, bookings and job photos are backed up as a matter of course, not as something you remember to do.
Certificates issued and renewed automatically, so the booking form your customers type their address into is always secure.
Email is sent for you, free, on every plan: there is no mail provider to sign up for or configure. If you'd rather send from your own domain, you can connect your own provider instead (Proton Mail, SMTP2GO, SendPulse, MailerLite or any SMTP server) in Settings, tested with one click.
Text messages are the one thing that stays in your name by default: an SMS provider (VoodooSMS or Twilio), entered in Settings, whatever they charge is what you pay, nothing marked up. Or don't: the managed SMS add-on above means we run that account instead, with nothing for you to sign up for.
No. We set up your instance, apply your branding and load your services with you as part of getting started. It isn't billed separately.
No. It's month to month. If DetailByte isn't earning its keep you can stop, and we'll give you an export of your data on the way out.
Count the logins you need. Shine is one person: you as the account owner, a van, and nobody else with a login. Finish is the moment somebody else needs their own account to see their own jobs: your owner login, plus 2 administrator logins for people who help run things day to day, and 10 worker logins for the team doing the jobs. Concours gives unlimited administrator and worker logins, for when you have stopped counting vans or you run more than one site.
Bookings and customer records are unlimited on every plan, so it's purely a question of team size and how much storage your job photos need.
Nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden. You get a warning at 80% of a limit. At 100% you can no longer create new records of that kind, but every booking already in the diary can still be edited, completed, cancelled and invoiced: being over a limit must never strand you with jobs you cannot finish.
The same is true in reverse. Move from Concours down to Shine and you keep every customer and every booking you already have. Only storage is capped.
Yes. You can point your own domain or subdomain (book.yourbusiness.co.uk, for instance) at your instance, and we'll handle the certificate. Your customers see your address, your logo and your colours throughout.
It is included on Finish and Concours, and a £5 add-on on Shine.
No. Bookings and customer records are unlimited on every plan, with no per-booking charge, no per-customer charge and, importantly, no charge per member of staff. Plenty of booking software bills per head, which means the software gets more expensive precisely because you grew. We don't do that.
Services, vehicles, bundles and add-ons are unlimited on every plan too. The only thing that scales with how busy you get is job-package photo storage: see the plan cards above.
Your customer can open their before/after gallery for 30 days after you send it. You can change that. The photos are then held a short while longer and deleted, and you get a reminder naming the date beforehand so you can save a copy if you keep your own records.
The booking, the invoice and the job history are never deleted: only the image files, which are far and away the largest thing on the system. It is what keeps the storage allowances generous.
You get it. Customers, bookings, vehicles, message history and job-package photos are yours, and we'll export the lot for you, whether you're leaving or just want a copy for your own records.
Email, no: every plan sends through our managed account for free by default (up to your plan's monthly allowance), with nothing to sign up for. If you'd rather send from your own domain, you can connect your own provider instead at no extra charge.
Texts are different: DetailByte sends through your own SMS account, so whatever your provider charges is what you pay. If you'd rather not open one, the managed SMS add-on puts texts on our account instead: billed per message actually sent, not a fixed bundle, so there's no monthly allowance to run out of.
Start your 14-day free trial. We'll set up a couple of your real services and run a booking through from request to follow-up, so you can see it working on your own numbers rather than ours.
